Airflo ridge floating clear tip

Anyone fishing this line? Was considering the 11wt for my tarpon trip in May and the 7 wt to have on hand for all around light applications around here.

I will have other rods with me on my trip in May, just wondering if having a clear tip might be good to have on hand. My other rods are rigged with normal floating lines.

I live on the Gulf Coast (Mobile Bay). I enjoy hunting for Hogs and deer and we have a lot of great WMAs. Some that have areas only accessible by boat. My family owns a camp on the Tombigbee River were I love to bass, cat fish, bream, and white perch fish. I have always fished out of a 16ft bass tracker that stays at the camp. Still looking at boats and having a hard time locating what I'm looking for. Below is a list of what I would like in a boat and I'd like to hear models you can recommend that fit my wants, or as close as we can get. The layout of the Mako 18 lts is exactly what I am looking for, but of course it is a Mako. As much as I would love to have a good technical skiff I need a boat for more than 2 people. Water quality headed downhill - need for a poling skiff

With the current state of the IRL I'm wondering if there is a point in owning a boat. I'm not into fishing bait so the question becomes is it worth owning a poling skiff? With the water the way it is the fish have to be tailing, finning or pushing a wake, otherwise chances of sight fishing are pretty much 0.

Maybe my thoughs are short sighted or maybe they are realistic. With water temps on the rise I don't see an end in sight at any point in the near future. If the cold didn't clean the...

Lowrance Total-Scan Transducer mounting location????

I was wondering if I can flush mount the transducer to the bottom of my hull. I know I'll expose it to damage but at 11" long, I don't know if a traditional mounting option would work. My boat is an East Cape Lostmen. If you're familiar with the boat, you know it has a recessed transom and it's a flat bottom skiff. A traditional mounting option would almost touch the lower unit.

If mounting directly to the bottom of the boat is an option, can I off-center it without getting feedback...

Getting a Florida skiff to TX

I am interested in buying a used HB skiff from Florida and having it transported to Texas. When a used HB or East cape skiffs shows up on microskiff, they are usually sold in a few days. I am unable to take off from work on short notice. What are my options of having a skiff transported from Florida to Texas, beside driving there myself?

2007 East Cape Lostman Side Console

Boat is in great condition for its age and is kept inside. I recently had East Cape install a new floor to stiffen up the boat and man did it do wonders. I am wanting to drill a hole in my towee skiff to run my transducer cord through the bench seat and have an exit hole in the second picture where the transducer and power cable come through for my depth finder. I plan to mount a ram mount. At first I was going to just drill some holes but got to thinking about what the options were to give it a clean look and protect the glass. As if I needed more to work on and keep me from progressing as fast on the skiff I am building, I bought a project boat today. It's a 14' 1969 Seal Craft. The beam is 61".
